Gospel thought for today – Thursday 19th November

Gospel Luke 19:41-44

As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.  They will dash you to the ground, you, and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

The Gospel of the Lord …………

The Mass Intentions is for a Novena Mass

Jesus wept over Jerusalem, for they failed to recognize him as being sent from God.to save them and they failed to understand the message of peace.

The presence of Jesus in our midst is the message of peace. The awareness of Jesus in our midst is the message of peace. Our intimate encounter and personal encounter with Jesus is the message of peace.

Therefore, what is the message of peace?   Love who became Flesh and dwelt amongst us.   Jesus is the message of peace that reconciled us to God the Father.

Jesus is our peace offering to God the Father through the precious blood, as a sacrifice for our freedom and liberation.

At present, have we understood the message of God’s presence in our life? Did we recognize the opportunity of Gods abundant graces that he lavished upon us each day?   Have we accepted him as our God, a God of peace and love?
