Gospel – Mark 13:33-37
Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
“Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”

Reflection:
This first Sunday of Advent is a time that the Church call us to stay awake! A call to look more closely at the deep love that the Father has for us, let us roar out our praise and thanksgiving for the great gift from the Father of Jesus to us.
Do not let the pandemic, the mad rushing about for those things that we could not get during the lockdown distract us for what Advent and Christmas is really all about.
May the preparations for Jesus’s coming this Advent bring healing to the wounds and hardships which the Pandemic has inflicted on us.
Let us stay awake and listen, let us build a manger for the Christ child in our hearts so that his love can bring healing to our lives, let’s stay alert and receptive making our home a place of welcome so that the Christ child may come with healing for all our loved ones. Have a happy and Blessed Advent!!
